Meet the Directors
Darren West
Director
Darren West is an enthusiastic Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and business owner with an unwavering commitment to his clients. He was offered partnership of GFM Accountants at age 28 and has grown the business exponentially in the 25 years since. He has earnt a reputation for resolving complex taxation matters and providing successful financial outcomes for his clients.
Throughout his career, Darren has worked with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, small businesses, and corporate entities. His expertise extends across various industries, allowing him to provide tailored financial solutions that address the unique challenges each client faces.
In his spare time, Darren is an avid Western Bulldogs fan and player sponsor. He enjoys watching and attending any and every sport and regularly volunteers as runner for the PEGS Senior Girls AFLW team of which his daughter is an integral player.
Brent Vickery
Director
Brent is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) who began working at GFM Accountants in 2003 and became a director in 2006. Prior to GFM Accountants Brent worked for a Chartered Accounting practice for five years that specialised in advising medical professionals.
Brent is passionate about building relationships and helping clients, taking the time to explain complex matters simply to ultimately help his clients achieve their business and personal goals. Brent has experience across a diverse range of industries providing invaluable advice on appropriate structures, business performance and tax minimisation strategies through effective tax planning.
Away from the office Brent loves spending time with his family, watching his son and daughter at their various sporting activities and going to the footy to support the mighty Western Bulldogs and the local community football club Caroline Springs Lakers.

Andrew
With over 20 years of bookkeeping expertise, Andrew is our seasoned professional adept at managing BAS/IAS lodgements and addressing GST, Payroll, and personnel concerns.
He has a strong partnership with Macquarie Leasing to facilitate smooth acquisitions of essential vehicles or equipment. Andrew’s robust relationship with the Australian Taxation Office ensures strategic negotiation and implementation of payment plans for ATO debts.

Rebecca
With an impressive 18-year journey at GFM, Rebecca has grown from a Receptionist to a pivotal figure in our organization.
As the Office Manager, she collaborates closely with Directors, ensuring smooth internal business administration. Rebecca efficiently manages our ASIC system and contributes to the Office Administration Team’s seamless functioning.
Beyond work, she enjoys quality time with her family and holidays along the Surf Coast, embodying a perfect blend of professionalism and personal fulfillment.
Peter
Since joining GFM Accountants in 2006 as a graduate accountant, Peter now leads our Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) division.
Armed with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting from Victoria University, his specialized knowledge in the Superannuation domain has been instrumental, especially for clients seeking to diversify their SMSF assets beyond personal investments.
Away from the office, he cherishes family time and passionately follows his favorite team, the LA Lakers.
Brendan
With a distinguished career spanning two decades as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Brendan’s wealth of experience is a cornerstone of his professional profile, having immersed himself in public practice since March 2000.
Beyond his professional achievements, Brendan is deeply dedicated to community service, epitomizing his commitment through active volunteering. As a proud member of Scouts Victoria, he and his children play an integral role in fostering community engagement as valuable contributors to the 1st Hoppers Crossing Scout Group.
Jenny
Since assuming the role of Senior Office Administrator at GFM in July 2010, Jenny has brought an extensive professional background dating back to 1978. A cornerstone in our team, she is consistently accessible and offers valuable assistance across a broad spectrum of queries.
Beyond her office role, Jenny enjoys diverse leisure activities, from Bingo to cinematic experiences with friends. She actively supports her daughter’s netball games and calisthenics competitions in Swan Hill, showcasing her commitment to both professional and personal aspects of life.
Jenny’s global perspective, enriched by travels to Japan with her husband to visit their son & grandchildren, adds depth to her personal and professional life, reflecting a dedication that goes beyond office boundaries.
Jack
Jack, a key player at GFM Accountants since 2014, graduated from Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Accounting. Specializing in financial accounts for trusts, companies, and partnerships, he excels in managing tax returns and business activity statements.
Jack holds XERO qualification and RG146 certification, showcasing his dedication to professional development.
Outside work, he actively contributes to community service and sports, serving as a scorer at Greenvale Kangaroos Cricket Club and a statistician at Greenvale Football Club. He’s also a passionate supporter of Essendon Football Club. Jack’s well-rounded commitment to excellence and community involvement makes him a valuable asset to our team.
Jai
Jai has recently become a valued member of our team at GFM, bringing with him a strong academic background, including a Bachelor of Accounting from RMIT University. His prior role as an Accounts Receivables officer has provided him with a robust foundation, and his decision to transition to GFM underscores his commitment to gaining a thorough understanding of accounting.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Jai’s interests extend to a passion for sports, and finds joy in spending quality time with his young family.
Amandeep
In 2023, GFM Accountants welcomed Amandeep, a seasoned professional with a CPA qualification earned in 2020. With a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s double degree in accounting and HR, he brings a unique blend of financial and human resource expertise. Amandeep’s journey started in HR, smoothly transitioning into accounting in 2017 after relocating to Australia.
His commitment to helping others and passion for Aviation enrich his professional profile. Amandeep is a valuable addition to our GFM team, contributing to our dynamic work environment with his comprehensive background and dedication.
Josh
Josh is an invaluable addition to our esteemed team at GFM Accountants, having come on board in 2023. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business/Accounting at RMIT University, Josh brings a vibrant energy and eagerness to expand his expertise. His primary focus lies in enhancing his proficiency in various facets of taxation, with an unwavering dedication to continuous learning and personal development.
Outside the office, you’ll find Josh tearing up the soccer field or honing his physical fitness in the gym as he embodies a passion for staying fit and healthy.
As a fervent supporter of Collingwood in the AFL and Manchester United in the EPL, he seamlessly intertwines his love for sports with his commitment to community engagement, reflecting his vibrant and multifaceted personality.
Sabina
Sabina is a Graduate of the University of San Carlos 2023, with a degree in Management Accounting. She is one of our newest and thriving Administration Assistants at GFM, leveraging her academic background to contribute effectively to our team and support our clients with precision and diligence.
Outside of her professional commitments, Sabina values quality time with family, enjoying movie nights and engaging discussions that inspire laughter and connection. She is an avid reader of fiction books and appreciates the power of life enriching music. To maintain a healthy work-life balance, she prioritizes physical activity by incorporating morning walks and runs into her routine to help counterbalance the demands of office work.
